Mr. Willie Alexander Lewis was one of four children born to the union of Otis and Carrie Williams Lewis on December 28, 1929 in Stephens, Arkansas. On Saturday, February 27, 2010, Willie departed this life and transitioned to Heaven.

On January 2, 1951, he met and married his loving wife, Clarice. To this union twelve children were born. In 1955, Willie and Clarice migrate to Milwaukee, where he worked for Milwaukee Railroad for over a decade until he retired.

Known lovingly as "AW" and "Lump Lump", Willie loved people and brightened up the room when he entered, caringly inquiring, "y'all alright?" The patriarch of his family, Willie was a great husband, dad, granddad and man of GOD. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, barbeque and butter pecan ice cream. Most of all, he enjoyed talking about the word of GOD.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Fred Lewis; and grandson, Corey Scott.

Willie leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Clarice Lewis of the home; twelve children, Tyrice Lewis of Milwaukee, WI; Mary (Davis) Reynolds of Pine Bluff, AK; Gordon (Stephanie) Lewis of Clover, SC; Earnest (Heidi) Lewis of Marietta, GA; Eric (Sherry) Lewis of Snellville, GA; Kevin Lewis of Ellenwood, GA; Darlene Lewis of Milwaukee, WI; Kathy (Andrew) Ross of Reading, PA; Greg (Dawn) Lewis of Matthews, SC; Dwayne Lewis of Charlotte, NC; Bee Lewis of Tampa, FL and Joe Lewis of Effingham, SC; an "adopted" daughter, Cassondra (Darien) Christopher; thirty grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two sisters, Ora Mae of Baltimore, MD and Catherine of Malvern, AK; and a host of other relatives and friends.
