Master Sergeant, (Retired) Juan Manuel Lopez, Sr. was born on May 11, 1963 in New York, New York He was the son of Victor Lopez and Maria Lopez. On Monday, February 22, 2010, he departed this life at Straub Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii after an illness.
Juan attended Automotive High School in Brooklyn, NY and furthered his education at Emory Riddle L Aeronautics. He was employed with Continental Airline at the time of his demise.
He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force from 1982 to 2005, retiring after 23 years of faithful service.
Juan was a member of Saint Agatha's Catholic Church.
He was predeceased in death by his son, Juan Manuel Lopez, Jr.; and grandmother, Providencia Trinidad.
Left to cherish his precious memories are: one daughter, Cassandra Monique Lopez of Atlanta, GA; his mother, Maria Lopez of Brooklyn, NY; one sister, Lissette Lopez of Brooklyn, NY; one brother, Osvaldo Oyola of Brooklyn, NY; one uncle, Angel Garica of Brooklyn, NY; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
