Mr. Laverne "Nanna" James was born on December 22, 1966 in Florence, South Carolina. He was the son of Frank "Bay" James, Sr. and Ella Douglas James. He departed this life on Tuesday, February 23, 2010.
"Nanna", as he was lovingly called, attended the Florence County Public School System. His occupation was carpentry and he worked for McLaughlin Floor Covering. He was a member of the Bad Boyz Savings Club.
Preceding him in death was his father, Frank James, Sr.
Left to cherish precious memories are: his spouse, Nourise M. James of Florence, SC; his four children, Aprell Barr, Terell Barr, Lakim Shepard and Shante McLaughlin, all of Florence, SC; his mother, Ella D. James of Florence, SC; three brothers, James Robinson of Florence, SC; Frank (Natalie) James of Greenleaf, MD and John (Rosetta) James of Florence, SC; four sisters, Bernice Robinson, Joann Graves, Ella Timmons and Monique L. James, all of Florence, SC; five aunts, Gladys (Ralph) Allison of Florence, SC; Mattie Douglas of Connecticut; Christine Byers of NC; Emma Lee Green and Lena Douglas, both of Florence, SC; four uncles, James Douglas of Florence, SC; Theodore (Renee) Douglas of Philadelphia, PA; Leroy Douglas of Florida and Joe (Blundine) McLaughlin of Florence, SC; three brothers-in-law, Terry McLaughlin, Berry McLaughlin and Jonathan McLaughlin, all of Florence, SC; four sisters-in-law, Zenia McLaughlin, Stephanie McLaughlin, Marie Lightly and Gwyn Woodberry, all of Florence, SC; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and other relatives
