Stephen Anthony Barnes entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 20, 2010 after an extended illness. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 19, 1950 to the late Charles and Louise Barnes.
Steve was educated in the public school system of Philadelphia. Upon graduation from high school, he joined The United States Army and was a Vietnam War veteran. He was gainfully employed in the Health Care and Transportation Industries approximately thirty years until he became disabled. He enjoyed drag racing, gardening and went to the beach at every opportunity.
He is preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Brett.
Steve leaves to cherish his memory: his faithful and loving wife of thirty years, June; two sons, Stephen and Eric; two brothers, Christopher and Wyatt; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; Uncle Ray and Aunt Mary; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; Nonia Davis; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
